Now I often get asked the question by many of my Windows XP friends. "Can I get Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP 64bit?" For those of you who may not have a clue what Windows XP 64 bit is.Windows XP comes in 2 main editions which are: Windows XP Home Windows XP Professional There are also versions such as XP Media Centre but this version is still built upon the same framework as Windows XP Pro. The answer of course to this question is yes. The thing is you must make sure you choose the correct download otherwise you will not be able to even start the setup!!! So firstly we will want to head over to the Windows Media Download Centre

At the top of this page you will see three boxes saying: Download Version Language So click the download box first and select Windows Media Player 11 Then click Version and choose Player 11 (for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition) Then choose language, it is important to note that currently the 64 bit edition is only availabe in English.
