Protected Content will not play in Windows Media Player 10
Are you finding that Protected Content will not play in Windows Media Player 10, this may be because you have a beta version of Windows Media Player 11 still loaded on your Windows XP machine. In some cases Windows Media Player 10 has been known to lose the digital rights management license, which means you can no longer play the content on any software platform. To solve this issue: 1) Disconnect any MP3 devices or any portable media 2) Go to the Start menu, then click 'Control Panel' 3) In Category View select 'Add or Remove Programs' 4) Click on 'Windows Media Player 11' and then click the button next to it called 'Remove' 5) When the two dialog boxes come up click yes to both of them to succesfully uninstall the program. 6) Windows Media Player will now roll back to version 10 NB- Make sure you play the content before you rollback so that the licenses are saved. Once your computer has restarted reinstall Windows Media Player 11 and your files should now succesfully play back
