Change Menu Views in Windows Media Player 11

In this article I will explain to you how to change menu views in Windows Media Player 11.

There are two types of menu styles in Windows Media Player 11, classic and new. In the old versions of Windows Media Player you could not change this option, but the folks at Microsoft came up with a clever idea to give users the option to remove them.



This helps the user free up more space on their window, it also meant that when a user was watching a video they used to find that the menu bar wouldn't move. But now it does and it is extremely helpful.

So here are the two different types of menu style you see in Windows Media Player 11.

Firstly you have the classic style:

Then there is the new one, notice how you no longer see the buttons at the top instead by right clicking any part of the top of WMP11 you bring up the dropdown menus, which makes it much more convenient for the user:


So if you want to change menu views in Windows Media Player 11 to see what suits you best simply right click on the tab part of the Windows Media Player screen and click on 'Show Classic Menus' to display the old style menu or if you want no menus showing click 'Show Classic Menus' again and the menus will disappear
